Whose Damn Daughter Is This?
I must say that some parents FAIL at their jobs. This girl’s certainly did.
What in ALL that is good, holy and unfoolish is that?!? Someone’s daughter, niece, future baby mama, truant classmate decided it’d be a good idea for her to go get a giant “Follow Me” tattoo on her arm. She even has the Twitter bird included. iCan’t. I just CANNOT! Is she serious?!? First, TV was raising our kids. Now Twitter. iCan’t. And she has the kissy face in the pic, just KNOWING she’s fierce. I bet y’all she’s a Nicki Minaj. Their caliber is good for tomfoolery like this.
Whoever raised her has failed at passing on the moral compass. FAILED I say! I’m an addict a fan of social media just like the next person but getting a TATTOO that’s social media-related? No ma’am! Parents, hug your kids at night. This poor misguided child went and got a PERMANENT tattoo for something that could very well be temporary (is Twitter gonna be here in 20 years? Well, that’s a discussion all by itself). While she was at it, she should have gotten a tattoo of the Fail Whale on her other shoulder. But still… GETCHO CHILD!

Obviously a person who didn't before she got a tattoo. You're right, who's to say twitter will still be around? Poor choice. :[
SMH
I completely agree with you. I'm kinda wondering if I should rec this because chances are it will bring some troll(s) to your site bringing drama wanting to debate you opinion.
lol. I remember when my friend got Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss tattooed on her breasts. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Now I am so glad I didn't have the money to get the cartoon bee that I wanted to get on my ass and I am wondering how much my friend spent to have Thing 1 and Thing 2 removed. Unless of course she still loves them and she might. I still like the tattoos I do have.
Hum, I didn't realize it was about Twitter til I read your post...I thought it was just a dove and the tattoo meant follow the dove, which is a symbol of peace and love. I'm not trying to start any drama here, but as someone with tattoos, I can tell you that they mean different things to different people. People look at mine and have similar reactions like you did, but you don't realize what has happened in my life and thus what those tattoos represent. Maybe it means something completely different to her than what you are taking it as. Who knows, unless you ask; otherwise, you're just judging people based on what they look like. Just my two cents.
interesting.
sometimes i wonder if this is all something we should just simply embrace and let its full course run. i mean...i feel like the momentum for this kind of look-at-me identity is heavily entrenched in our culture as it is. i wonder whether or not its an evolution and i'm just clinging onto a decaying paradigm. i won't lie, i've made my own adjustments to what i've percieved as new paradigms but it's difficult to look at pictures like this and accept it for what it is. not that it's important in the long run but i just feel this way. of course, i live in a glass house so who am i to open my mouth. you're in a better position to do so as a parent.
I thought you were objecting mostly to the fact that she's encouraging stalkers.
but I realized you were attacking a completely different angle. Oops. haha. Still, it's pretty stupid, whicheverway you look at it.
