  • My Momma is the Bomb...

… yeah I said the bomb! I know it's so 80s but that's when I grew up, now handle that!

So yeah, first things first...that evening a few months back when I got a friend request and it was from my mom. I was like WTH? Me: looking at my email like I'd die if I touch it and thinking Momma don't be on the computer like that, her sending email is HUGE, but facebook. Lord who? Lord why? Then a light bulb went off...Auntie Al))))))))))) My auntie did this, why? OMG! I never thought I'd see the day. It took me a while to think it over and reconcile in my soulspace that my momma was on facebook...then and only then did I click...ACCEPT.

At first nothing, then I saw it....she was popping up on other family members pages. The emails, text and phone calls started. “Did you know yo momma is on facebook?” “Girl what is Auntie Lois doing on facebook?” Me , "yeah I know. I just don't understand, but hey...it is what it is.” Someone I'll call friendx: "Girl are you gonna put her on limited profile?" Me: "Not hardly, she's gonna get the real me, not watered down, just me chilling, turnt all the way up (yep I know about that), the real me for once." Friendx: "I can't do it, my family is on limited profile, they're too nosy." Me: "I'm sure a lot of mine are too but this is me hate it or love it."

Which brings me to why I said she's the bomb (yep I said it again, get over yourself). Last night we were having a phone conversation. Check it:

Me: “Ma you know I have a girlfriend right?”
    Mom: *silence*
Me: “Ma did you hear me”
Mom: “yeah I heard you, and I know”
Me:   *gigglin inside*....Her name is Rhena
Mom: “You know how I feel about that, but it's your life and I love you regardless”
Me:   *still picking*...”She's coming to the wedding”
    Mom: “What are you wearing”
Me:   *wondering WTH?*...”I'm in the wedding, I'm wearing a dress”
Mom: “Because I don't want you dressing like a boy”
Me:   *LMAO at this point*...Ma, I don't dress any different than how I used to. I'm in a same-sex relationship, but I'm still a female.”
    Mom: “I was just saying”
Me:    Laughin even harder now, *while thinking...bless her heart...she can't help herself...she get's it from her momma!*

Momma's will say anything sometime. Sometimes it will piss you off and other times it's LOL funny. Thanks Ma for loving me in spite of myself and my gender preference. I'm still female and feminine, nothing has changed.
