• A Prayer for Parents

   

  Bless the parents of all children, Lord
  For they know not the error of their ways
  Most strive to do the very best they can
  There's no handbook on what to do or say
  
  There's been nothing written to guide them
  Having to rely only on their own senses
  Sometimes they are right, sometimes wrong
  Sometimes it takes time to mend fences
  
  

  Whenever their children are weary 
  And they have no place else to turn
  Help parents be wise in their choices
  Of the lessons that need to be learned 
  
  Provide a safe place for them to fall
  And know truth is of great importance
  If children can't have trust in their parents
  There's no rhyme, no rhythm, no dance
  
  Love and harmony, Lord, and the belief
  That Jesus is our savior and died for our sins
  If they can nail those three down okay
  Their parenthood should result in a win
