Ummmmm, so yeah...I can't get behind this!
Okay.....what parent thought that was okay? And another thing what are they putting in the Similac these days, that white people have more rhythm than they used to? (not meant to be offensive, I'm just saying...)

oh good grief. we have all of these people bitching about kids growing up too fast, and then half the time we have them running around like this.
this is really sad.
hummmmm yea there is no way I'd let my daughter do that. Heck I have little boys and they thought it was skanky.

OMG! I don't even know what to say about that. A few years down the road when these girls turn up pregnant at 14 and are dancing on poles to make ends meet when their 18, their parents are going to be like, "We don't know where we went wrong..."
No wonder people call my husband and I "old-fashioned" when it comes to the way we choose to raise our son!
I felt nauseous watching that video... Sure, they can dance beautifully - but they're dancing like common whores. It's disgusting... ::sigh:: No wonder eating disorders are so rampant.
I think if they would have put them in NORMAL little girl costumes, it wouldn't have been as bad as it was. But, what can you do?

If I had a daughter, I'd never let her do something like that. It's inappropriate for that age (how old are they?!). If I didn't know this was what she was doing I should be punished for being a terrible parent. Regardless, I'd go up there and drag her off the stage.
I'd like to know what kind of person would set this up. That's pretty disturbing.

the provocative moves and attire aside, these girls really got some talent. hope they (and their parents) realize that their talent alone has positive potential.

that was a routine that was a little too mature for them, but it was great!Those little girls are incredible dancers. However, this sort of degradation of their innocence is terribly wrong. It upsets me when parents push sexuality on girls at such a young age. There is no way they are going to have a healthy sense of self-worth, growing up with this kind of influence on themselves.

Many of the moves (not the shimmy and shake stuff) were classical ballet moves. Had they been in tutus, dancing to Schubert without the shimmies, shakes and hip snaps it would have been much more age appropriate. I wouldn't have permitted my daughters to do that.
